How to Enjoy Fall Around Houston TX

Fall is here, and that means it’s the perfect time to get outdoors for a fun family adventure. And since we all live in and around Houston, TX, one of the most exciting and wonderful cities in the world, there’s no shortage of fun fall activities to choose from. In order to help you get started planning your family outing, we decided to compile a list of a few of our favorite things to do in the fall in Houston. Now, we all know fall weather can be unpredictable. But in creating our list, we decided to assume it’s going to be a beautiful day to be outdoors. So, let’s see what there is to do to enjoy fall in Houston.

UPDATE:  Trick or Treating Times 2018

Armand Bayou Nature Center

There’s no better time than fall to get out and enjoy everything nature has to offer. And there’s no better place to get out and enjoy everything nature has to offer than the Armand Bayou Nature Center. Not only is it one of the largest urban wilderness preserves in the country, encompassing 2,500 acres of natural wetland, forest, prairie and marsh habitats, it is home to a wide array of wildlife including birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Bayou cruises, canoe trips and night owl prowls are just a few of the fun activities to take part in at the center.

Hermann Park Conservancy

There’s truly something for everyone at the Hermann Park Conservancy. Seriously. There’s a golf course, outdoor theater, jogging track, rose garden, picnic spots, a butterfly exhibit, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Zoo. And since it’s only minutes from downtown Houston, it’s easy to get to no matter where you’re coming from.

Buffalo Bayou

Another spot right near downtown Houston, Buffalo Bayou is a great place for a fun outdoor outing. There are trails for hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking as well as the Buffalo Bayou Cistern. Oh, and there are Buffalo Bayou boat tours, too, that help you see everything the bayou has to offer.

These are only three of the great things to do in fall around Houston. There’s plenty more out there if these don’t pique your interest. But no matter what you do, make sure you do it with family and friends. There’s really no better way to do anything. And if you find yourself in need of automotive service while you’re out and about, just let our friendly Star Motor Cars staff know and we’ll take it from there.
