Fall is certainly here, and Halloween is on its way! While adults can find plenty of scary attractions in the Houston metro area, some of the coolest activities for kids can be found at fall farm festivals in the area. Find pumpkin patches and corn mazes near Houston TX in this blog that offer plenty of fun for the whole family.

New Mercedes-Benz Offers

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm

  • Location: 7632 Spring Cypress Rd. – Spring TX
  • Hours: Weekends in October: Fridays 4-7 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Cost: $5 per person entry, special activities, pumpkins and food are extra
  • Attractions: Train rides, hay rides, petting zoo (Sat and Sun only), slides, inflatable corn maze, bound house, jump pad, food vendors, pumpkins of all kinds. Dogs are welcome on leashes.

Oil Ranch

  • Location: 23501 Macedonia Rd – Hockley TX
  • Hours: In October: Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday noon to 5 p.m. (Closed Oct. 20)
  • Cost: $15.95 per person weekdays, $19.95 per person weekends. Includes all activities except paintball and mining.
  • Attractions: Scarecrow Festival and Pumpkin Patch includes thousands of pumpkins, more than 85 scarecrows, hay rides, train rides, pony rides, mining, petting zoo, fishing, climbing activities, mini golf, and a maze.

Froberg’s Farm

  • Location: 3601 West Hwy 6 – Alvin TX
  • Hours: Sept. 29- Nov. 4:  daily, with variable hours and activities
  • Cost: $6 corn maze wristbands, other activities extra
  • Attractions: Farm tours, corn maze, rides, planting, mining, plastic duck races, bouncing options, face painting and more. Friday and Saturday nights in October enjoy a Night Time Maze (not scary).

Blessington Farms

  • Location: 510 Chisolm Trail – Wallis TX
  • Hours: Weekends in October: Fridays variable, Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Cost: $20 per person entry (ages 2 and up) includes almost all available activities. Camel feeling and bird feeding are extra.
  • Attractions: Pumpkin patch, gem mining, trolley swings, tug-o-war, rope maze, jumping and climbing activities, hay rides, barrel rides, hay palace, animal encounters, pedal cars, and even fishing (check out site for details).

Dewberry Farm

  • Location: FM 362 and Morrison Rd.- Brookshire TX
  • Hours: Weekends Sept. 29- Nov. 11: Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Cost: $31.82 per person entry. Season passes and other discounts available.
  • Attractions: Pumpkin patch, 8-acre corn maze, animal interactions, slide mountain, old time games, and more. Open until 9 p.m. on Oct. 13, 20 and 27 for fireworks.
