Since 2006, the Mercedes-Benz GLS has been rocking the luxury SUV segment with outstanding performance, a comfortable interior, and innovative technology. The GLS comes in two models, the GLS 450 and GLS 550. Both models are equipped with their own respective turbocharged engines and as a result, have varying performance capabilities. Mercedes-Benz GLS 450

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS models have few discrepancies when it comes to technology and standard features; however, the 450 is less powerful and more spacious than the 550. The 450 has a third-row bench and offers seating for seven passengers. The GLS 450 is equipped with the same standard technology as the GLS 550, like ECO Start/Stop, DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes, SmartKey with KEYLESS-START, ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Parking Assist and Surround View System. The GLS 450 is a great option for individuals who need more space for more passengers.

Mercedes-Benz GLS 550

The GLS 550 is equipped with a powerful 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that produces 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, which is significantly more powerful than the 362 horsepower and 396 pound-feet of torque created by the 3.0-liter turbo engine in the GLS 450. Although both models share a top speed of 130 mph, the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is 0.7 seconds quicker on the GLS 450. The 450 is the ideal SUV for a party of five or less who values outstanding performance, power and speed.
