Houston Restaurant Weeks Closing Weekend

Restaurants participating in the week have special brunch, lunch or dinner options in attractive price ranges. Restaurants donate a portion of the proceeds from the meal to the Houston Food Bank, which means that people can eat out and support a good cause at the same time. BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival

Running Sept. 1-3, the BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival is a great place to try some of the best beer in town, eat great food, and have a lot of fun. Different events happen on each of the three days of the festival, and have different prices. Cost ranges from $8 for 6 beer samples and live music at the Brew-B-Que on Saturday up to $165 for a full three-day pass. Learn pricing and scheduling details here.

Lone Star Flight Museum

The Lone Star Flight Museum will open its doors on Labor Day with great events, food trucks, and displays. The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $20 for adults, and $16 for students and seniors. Learn more here.

Other Labor Day Houston Events

  • 3rd Annual Holy Grill BBQ Cookoff – Hosted by Christ the King Episcopal Church from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. BBQ dinner tickets are $10 and can only be purchased in advance.
  • Free Day of Yoga – Bella Yoga studio in Richmond TX is having a free day of yoga and a Pet Meet ‘n Greet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The day is free, but registration is appreciated. Other yoga studios may be having free yoga days on Labor Day as well.
  • MixNSingle Labor Day Picnic – Singles are welcome to Tom Bass Park in Houston from 1-6 p.m. to meet other singles with included food, fun, games, prices and music. Cost is $20 and tickets must be purchased in advance.
