2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV vs 2017 Audi Q7

Most people wouldn’t use rugged and luxurious to describe the same thing. Unless, of course, they’re talking about the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV. Honed in a wind tunnel and tuned on the track, the 2017 GLC SUV is unlike any other midsize SUV on the market. Its ruggedness comes from its long wheelbase, big wheels and wide track that can handle any road conditions. Its luxuriousness comes from its designo Nappa leather interior, heated front and rear seats, rear-door sunshades and giant Panorama roof – just to name a few features.

But all of that hasn’t stopped competitors from coming forward to try and steal the 2017 GLC SUVs midsize SUV crown. One of those competitors is the 2017 Audi Q7. With that in mind, we decided to put the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV up against the 2017 Audi Q7 in a head-to-head matchup to see which model is the perfect fit for you and your needs.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV: More Efficient with Comparable Power

One of the first features everyone looks at these days is fuel efficiency. It doesn’t matter what type of vehicle you’re researching, you want to make sure you’re not going to be breaking the bank at the pump. In this case, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV comes out on top thanks to its 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway, compared to 20 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway for the 2017 Audi Q7.

Another feature everyone invariably looks at right away is power. The two models are very close in terms of power, with the new Audi Q7 holding a slight edge in terms of horsepower while both models offer the same amount of torque. What isn’t shown in our table, however, is that the 2017 GLC SUV is lighter than its Audi counterpart, meaning it requires less power to operate, effectively negating the Audi’s power advantage.

As you can see, if you take everything into consideration, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV is the obvious choice. It helps that the new GLC SUV is almost $10,000 cheaper than the 2017 Audi Q7, as well. If you have any questions, just get in touch with our Star Motor Cars staff. We’re here to help.
